A Course in Miracles Podcasts

A Course In Miracles is a spiritual text that offers a radical and uncompromising approach to healing abandonment, victimhood and other seemingly lifelong problems. Its principles, which can seem outrageous and "not of this world," actually have been effective for many who choose to apply them consistently.

The ACIM book-set consists of the 669-page Text, the 466-page Workbook for Students and the 92-page Manual for Teachers (that's 1,227 pages altogether). The Course is intended as a self-study program of spiritual psychotherapy. Its lessons are taught in a format designed to lead the student to an experience of forgiveness that transcends the mind-body split and is therefore healing for all of humanity.

This is a remarkable and challenging spiritual text to read, and the difficulty in understanding it is often blamed on the archaic religious language used. However, by focusing on the intent of these ancient metaphors rather than just their literal translations, the language can be made to more readily resonate with the modern reader.

Another obstacle is the immense and complex thought system that is outlined in the Course's curriculum, which can be confusing both theoretically and when applying it to everyday life. A good teacher of ACIM can provide clarity, insight and humor that make these principles easier to grasp.

Kenneth Wapnick, who A course in miracles teaches the Course as Awakened Mind, is one of those teachers. He is an experienced ACIM student and teacher, a skilled therapist, and a natural host of the uplifting gatherings and lectures he leads all over the world. His deep understanding of the Course's thought system, his clear commentary, and his ability to share the teachings with warmth and humor, are an invaluable aid to the sincere student of ACIM.

Whether you're just beginning your study of ACIM or are an advanced student, these podcasts will help you better understand the Course's teachings and how to apply them to your daily life. Each episode covers one section of the Text and a lesson from the Workbook, followed by a profound commentary by David Hoffmeister.

These insightful, inspiring and deeply moving talks offer a unique perspective on the teachings of A Course in Miracles and their practical application to our everyday lives. They also address common misconceptions about the Course and dispel some myths about its origin and purpose.

Originally recorded in 1995 and 1999, these audio recordings of conversations between Penelope Chatterton and Enlightened Teacher David Hoffmeister are a wonderful way to connect with the deeper meaning and message of A Course in Miracles. They are especially helpful in exploring the more difficult parts of the Course's thought system, and will enhance your appreciation of its message as you work to apply it to your life. These conversations are available in both CD and MP3 formats.
