Black Satta King Desawar - The First Black King of India

Black Satta King or Satta Matka as it is commonly known is an old India lottery game which saw its origin from the pre-colonial days. Yes, folks have been betting the black lotteries for quite some time now. The game was first introduced in the Indian continent right before Independence. It was then called Patiala Lotto. The game has seen a number of innovations over the years and today, it is known as Satta Laddu or Black Laddu. The word for Satta Laddu is 'Khatas' which is a Punjabi word that means black pot or bucket.

The Satta king game has gained immense popularity in recent years across India and many countries across the world. You will find people from all walks of life betting on this particular sport. There are people who simply rely upon luck while there are others who rely upon their skill. The ones who depend upon luck are those people who cannot afford to spend on betting on other sports like football and hockey because they can't afford to drop such favorite teams or players just because they did not win any games.

Now the question is what makes the black sat taking different from other lotto games? Why do people love to bet on it? What makes it so special? The simple answer to all these questions is a very interesting history and trivia about how the game came to be. The story behind this particular game is a tale almost like a love story between two legendary personalities of the Mughal Empire namely Jahangir Khan and Akbar's father Akbar.

Jahangir had always been a prince charming and well born. When he was young, he had also begun to learn the trade of embroidery from his grandmother. But in order to earn some money from this trade he had to marry a Persian lady of high social status. However the lady died shortly after their marriage and Jahangir was left with nothing but his black satta. He used this piece of cloth to wear and win money from gambling.

Akbar, being the son of a powerful Mughal king, decided to inherit his grandmother's land. But he failed to do so and was arrested by the Qasid king. Once he was brought to the court of the king of Iraq he was tried and executed on the charge of gambling and murder. This marked the beginning of the end for Akbar's gambling career and of his career as a black king desawar.

The end of the Mughal Empire prompted Akbar to establish a business of his own. But his gambling instincts got the better of him and he got himself in huge debts. The creditors were not willing to accept his offer of settlement and hence he had to drop out of the business. However he managed to secure enough money to start a new business. But with his first experience as a businessman in the field of finance, he had to set up a new trading post, which did not pay well. He could not manage the business and closed it down, but he soon started again with a fresh mind and in a different area, which proved profitable for him.
