For everyday carry or self defense, this pistol packs plenty of punch with 11+ rounds in a slim package. It has a hammer forged barrel and a Melonite finish for durability and superior accuracy. It also features a front and rear slide serrations for easy manipulation even with gloved hands. Its Adaptive Grip Texture is made to grip better the tighter you squeeze.
A reversible magazine release is included to accommodate left-handed shooters, too. The pistol is also optimized for optics with a milled tactical-rack U-Dot sight and a high visibility tritium front sight for intuitive target acquisition in any lighting conditions.
The trigger is designed for a shooter's index finger to comfortably reach the "power crease," a term used by double-action revolver shooters to describe the ideal location on the trigger to get maximum leverage on the pull. This trigger makes the Hellcat Pro one of the easiest to shoot handguns out there, especially for those with short fingers.
Springfield has added a lot of thoughtful details to make the Hellcat Pro as user-friendly as possible. The beavertail extends far back on the frame to encourage a high grip, which works in tandem with the high triggerguard cut above the frontstrap to minimize muzzle rise and Springfield hellcat enhance accuracy. This grip angle also makes the gun easier to shoot for those with smaller hands and helps manage recoil.
Another key feature is the enlarged magazine catch, which makes it easy for shooters with bigger hands to insert and remove magazines without having to fumble with a small latch. The magazine loading tool also allows for faster reloading.
The Hellcat Pro has an integrated compensator that's co-witnessed with the iron sights out of the box, which makes it easier to mount a red-dot sight. This is a big benefit as it saves time and money during the shooting process. The compensator and iron sights also help with accuracy as it reduces muzzle flip.
It is also compatible with most aftermarket accessories like trigger upgrades and holsters. However, the Hellcat Pro is still relatively new so there aren't a lot of options available yet. There are a few red-dot optics that will fit, though.
